Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

PayThePeople Pty Ltd ("PayThePeople", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and handles your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and your rights.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address and mobile number. Your mobile number is used to help set up your membership (which may include occasional onboarding contact) and as part of our fraud- and trial-abuse prevention.
  • Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number; we receive only limited details such as card brand, last four digits and billing status.
  • Discord identifiers — if you connect Discord, your Discord ID and username, to grant community access.
  • Usage data — bets and results you add to the tracker, bonus progress, preferences, and technical data such as device, browser and log information.

2. How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you sign up, use the Service, contact us or connect a third-party account (such as Discord or a payment method), and automatically through cookies and similar technologies as you use the Service.

3. Why we use it

  • To create and manage your account and membership;
  • To process payments, trials and renewals;
  • To provide, personalise and improve the Service;
  • To grant and manage community (Discord) access;
  • To welcome and help new members get set up, which may include contacting you by email or phone;
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates and (where permitted) marketing;
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, including checking your email, mobile number and payment details against prior sign-ups;
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, under confidentiality obligations, including:

  • Stripe — payment processing;
  • A cloud database & authentication provider — securely stores and manages your account data;
  • A transactional email provider — delivers service emails such as welcome and billing notices;
  • Discord — community access, if you connect it;
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers used to operate the Service.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

5. Overseas storage

Some of our service providers store and process data on servers located outside Australia (for example, in the United States and other regions). Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

8. Marketing & opt-out

We may send you service and marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. We will still send essential account and transactional messages.

9. Accessing & correcting your information

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@paythepeoplepty.com. You can also update most details in your Account settings. You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to any records we must retain by law.

10. Children

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first at hello@paythepeoplepty.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
